Over 460 places on six continents will host open days and test for the recruitment team.
Emirates Airlines, a Dubai-based airline, is currently hiring 5,000 cabin crew members by 2024.
The recent hiring coincides with Emirates starting to get its much awaited A350s in the middle of the year and the Boeing 777-Xs beginning in 2025. The airline’s order book includes 205 777-9s and 777-8s in addition to 65 A350s.
The main target audience for the recruitment effort is people who have recently or will soon enter the workforce. The airline is seeking recent graduates with experience working part-time jobs or internships, as well as people with around a year’s worth of experience in customer service or hospitality.
Candidates must fulfill the following requirements in order to be evaluated for Emirates cabin crew:
Qualifications for eligibility:
- Proficient in both spoken and written English; knowledge of other languages is a plus.
- a bright personality and natural team player
- Capable of reaching a height of 212 cm and standing
- at least 160 cm Tall Enough to fulfill the UAE’s work visa requirements
- a minimum of one year’s experience in customer service or hospitality
- a minimum of twelve years of high school education
- when wearing the Emirates cabin crew uniform, no obvious tattoos
Recruitment campaign
In almost 460 cities on six continents, the Emirates recruitment team will hold open days and examinations.
Emirates increased its post-pandemic service and recruited 8,000 cabin crew members in 2023, holding recruitment events in 353 cities. The airline’s cabin staff reached 21,500 in August 2023, surpassing the 20,000 mark.

Cabin crew experience career progression, including upgrading to higher cabin classes, and becoming a cabin supervisor, purser or trainer. The airline has 1,180 pursers who have climbed the career ladder after successfully completing exacting training and assessments. Crew also have the opportunity to apply for internal vacancies throughout the Emirates Group.
Training and life skills
All new cabin crew recruits undergo an intense eight weeks of training. Trained in Emirates’ state-of-the-art facility in Dubai, cabin crew learn transferable skills that include a knack for communications, initiative and leadership qualities. They develop the ability to work effectively in a multicultural team, the focus to stay mentally strong and calm under pressure, becoming bastions of hospitality and exceptional service, and ambassadors of an iconic brand. Cabin crew also have access to the latest training programmes and LinkedIn courses.
